If If there’s one thing our support team get asked regularly it's how to clean their kitchen appliances the smart way.
For the speckled microwave oven…
Wet some paper towels, place them inside, and turn it on for a few minutes. When it stops, let it sit for a little longer, until the towels are no longer hot, and use it to wipe the interior. You can repeat the process by placing inside a cup with a 50-50 water and lemon solution and let it run to freshen up the interior.
For the sticky vent hood filter…
Soak the filter for several minutes using a mixture of hot water and Borax substitute. Take the vent hood filter out, put it in the sink, and give it a good rinse with cold water to wash away all the grime.
For the brownish coffee pot…
Fill the pot with ice (about a quarter), squeeze in juice from a half of lemon, and drizzle two tablespoons of coarse salt. Keep swirling the pot for a few minutes and, when you finally rinse it, the water will wash away all the coffee traces.
For the greasy stove grates…
There are plenty of effective stove cleaners out there, but if you’re looking for the heavy artillery, the humble ammonia will exceed all your expectations. You can use it alone, for an overnight treatment, or you can combine it with your favourite cleaning solution and obtain enhanced results.
For the stubborn calcium build-up…
Hard to clean kitchen taps will soon be history if you learn this trick with the de-scaler bag sealer. Use your special solution by pouring it in a plastic bag and tie it around the faucet spout. Let it sit like that for a few minutes, untie, rinse, and check the results.
For the frosted sink…
Sprinkle an even layer of baking soda, grab an old toothbrush (make sure it’s a different toothbrush than the one we were suggesting you use in our previous article with bathroom cleaning tips) and start scrubbing in circles. Let the water drip so you can soak the baking soda and make it more like a paste. It shouldn’t take long until your stainless-steel sink will get back its shine.
